Xpeng · Humanoid · 2025
Xpeng IRON is the EV maker's lifelike general-purpose humanoid, whose second generation debuted at Xpeng's 2025 AI Day (Nov 5, 2025) with a viral 'catwalk' gait so human-like that CEO He Xiaopeng unzipped its synthetic skin on stage to prove no person was inside. It stands ~1.78m/70kg with up to 82 DOF, harmonic hand joints, a lattice 'muscle' structure, embedded microphone arrays, an all-solid-state battery, and Xpeng's self-developed Turing AI chip for 'Physical AI.' Built to automotive-grade standards, the first ET1 production unit rolled off the line Jan 2026, with a dedicated 110,000m² Guangzhou factory targeting 1M+ units by decade's end. Specs are company-stated from AI Day; captured into additional specs pending a full datasheet.
