UBTECH · Humanoid · 2025
The UBTech Walker S2 is a full-size industrial humanoid (about 1.76 m, 70 kg, 52 degrees of freedom) and the headline successor to UBTech's factory-deployed Walker S line, which works on NIO and BYD assembly lines. Its standout feature is a world-first autonomous battery-swap system: the robot walks to a docking station and swaps its own depleted pack for a charged one in about three minutes using dual-battery dynamic balancing, enabling near 24/7 operation. A high-torque waist (±162° rotation) and fourth-generation bionic hands give sub-millimetre manipulation and up to 15 kg dual-arm payload across a ~1.8 m workspace. It runs UBTech's ROSA 2.0 stack on Ubuntu with the Co-Agent and BrainNet 2.0 dual-loop AI system for task planning, semantic VSLAM navigation and exception handling, fusing dual-RGB stereo vision, six-axis force sensing and IMU on x86 + NVIDIA Jetson Orin compute. Walker S2 entered mass production in late 2025, making it one of the first humanoids to reach genuine series production.
