VinRobotics · Humanoid · 2026
The VR-H3 is the third-generation humanoid robot from VinRobotics, a technology subsidiary of Vietnam's Vingroup conglomerate (the VinFast EV parent), founded in November 2024. Debuted at ICRA 2026 in Vienna and COMPUTEX Taipei 2026, it is an industrial humanoid built for factory and operational work — material handling, object transport and assembly — with a rated payload of roughly 6-8 kg and a walking pace near 1.5 m/s. It carries more than 31 actuators and two onboard edge computers for low-latency, on-board perception and control, and was demonstrated being teleoperated via motion-capture built into a VR headset. VinRobotics says it developed all core technology in-house: the mechanical structure, electrical/electronic architecture, power and battery-management systems, and full-body AI control. The VR-H3 represents Vietnam's serious entry into a humanoid race usually framed as US-versus-China, and remains in development toward commercialization, with selected foundational tech to be open-sourced.
