Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center · Humanoid · 2025
Tiangong Ultra (天工 Ultra) is a full-size electric humanoid developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center — a state-backed institute formed by UBTech, Xiaomi and others — built on the open 'Hui Si Kai Wu' embodied-intelligence platform. It made history by winning the inaugural 2025 Beijing Humanoid Half-Marathon in 2:40:42, the only robot to finish that year, and also took the 100 m title at the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games. Standing about 1.80 m and weighing roughly 52-55 kg, it reaches top speeds near 12 km/h and is widely used as an open base platform that university and company teams customise with their own control algorithms. Improved variants returned to the 2026 race with dramatically faster times.
