Samsung · Humanoid · 2021
A household-assistant robot concept from Samsung Research, first shown at CES 2021 and upgraded at CES 2022. Bot Handy pairs a wheeled mobile base with a tall, slim body and a single highly-articulated arm that pivots at shoulder, elbow and wrist, ending in a clamp-like hand. Cameras in its head and hand feed AI object recognition that distinguishes materials and weights so it can apply the right grip force — letting it pick up laundry, load dishwashers, set tables and pour drinks. A digital face with expressive eyes handles interaction, and mobility plus elevation extend its working reach in 3D space. Shown as a development concept rather than a shipping product.
