A gynoid social humanoid modelled on Prof. Nadia Magnenat Thalmann, with hardware built by Kokoro (Japan) in 2013 and software developed at NTU Singapore (and later the University of Geneva / MIRALab). Nadine has natural-looking skin, hair and hands and 27 degrees of freedom for facial expression and upper-body gesture. Socially intelligent, she makes eye contact, greets people, recognises those she has met before, remembers past conversations, answers autonomously in several languages, and simulates emotion and personality. She served a pilot 'internship' as an AIA Singapore customer-service receptionist in 2019.
