Noetix Robotics · Humanoid · 2025
Hobbs W1 is a wheeled service humanoid from Beijing startup Noetix Robotics, pitched as a front-desk 'all-rounder' for reception, guidance and customer support. Its signature is a female-styled bionic head with 32 active (plus 8 passive) degrees of freedom that can reproduce over 200 human micro-expressions, with facial skin moulded from platinum silicone for lifelike texture. Beyond a pretty face, it carries two 5-DoF arms with dexterous 6-DoF hands for gestures, handovers and light tasks, an interactive chest screen, and a self-driving base using laser SLAM with 360 obstacle avoidance and infrared auto-recharging. Onboard compute pairs an Intel J1900 CPU with dual 6-TOPS NPUs for local emotion recognition and conversation. It debuted at the 2025 World Robot Conference in Beijing.
