First humanoid robot in space. Developed jointly by NASA Johnson Space Center and General Motors. Launched to the ISS on STS-133 in February 2011 initially as a torso-only humanoid restricted to a stanchion. Mobility legs added in 2014 to allow movement inside the station. Returned to Earth in 2018 for repairs after a hardware malfunction; planned to return to ISS.
