MagicLab · Humanoid · 2025
The MagicBot Z1 is MagicLab's compact, high-agility bipedal humanoid, unveiled in July 2025 and shown again at CES 2026. At about 1.4 m (136.9 cm) and 40 kg it has a human-child footprint that slips through tight indoor spaces, with 24 degrees of freedom in the standard build expandable to ~50 when fitted with optional sensors, arms and the 11-DOF MagicHand S01 (which adds five-fingered grasping up to ~3-5 kg per arm). In-house high-torque joints exceed 130 N·m with up to 320 degrees of travel, giving it acrobatic agility — fast motion, deep back-bends, and fall/prone recovery under disturbance. A 360-degree sensor suite (3D LiDAR, depth and binocular fisheye cameras, head tactile sensing) feeds a VLN navigation stack, with Wi-Fi 6 / Bluetooth 5.2, an 8-core CPU and a quick-release 10,000 mAh battery good for ~2 hours. MagicLab markets it as an open, developer-friendly platform for research, education and dynamic applications; its full-size sibling MagicBot Gen1/G1 targets industry. No public price.
