A collaborative humanoid assistant for industrial maintenance, developed at KIT's High Performance Humanoid Technologies lab (Prof. Tamim Asfour) under the EU Horizon 2020 'SecondHands' project. Mounted on a wheeled mobile base with a torque-controlled bimanual upper body, ARMAR-6 recognises when a human worker needs help and offers it proactively — using human tools like power drills, doing vision-based grasping, fluent object handovers, activity recognition and natural dialog. Four onboard computers run the ArmarX software framework; it was demonstrated 50+ times at CEBIT 2018.
