WALK-MAN is a full-size humanoid disaster-response robot from IIT, standing ~1.85 m and weighing ~102 kg. Designed for DARPA-Robotics-Challenge-style tasks, it walks on two legs and uses two arms to open doors, operate valves and tools, and has been demonstrated performing firefighting tasks (locating and extinguishing a fire) in a smoke-filled mock environment.
