Honda · Humanoid · 2017
Honda's experimental disaster-response humanoid, revealed in 2017 as a successor concept to ASIMO aimed at hazardous environments rather than the home. Roughly 1.68 m and 85 kg, the slim E2-DR could climb vertical ladders, walk over rubble and debris, traverse pipes and squeeze through narrow gaps, with weather resistance for rain and dust. It served as an R&D platform demonstrating rugged bipedal mobility for search-and-rescue.
