Honda · Humanoid · 2000
Honda's ASIMO (2000-2018) was the world's most famous bipedal humanoid for two decades - 130 cm tall, it could walk, run at ~9 km/h, climb stairs, hop and recognise faces and gestures. A landmark in dynamic bipedal locomotion, it was retired in 2018 with its technology feeding Honda's later robotics work.
