GAC Group · Humanoid · 2024
The third-generation embodied-intelligence humanoid from Chinese automaker GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group), unveiled December 2024. Its signature is an industry-first variable wheel-leg base that switches between a stable four-wheel mode (1.4 m tall, for stairs, slopes and obstacles) and an agile two-wheel mode (1.75 m tall, smaller footprint) — a design GAC says cuts energy use by over 80%. It has 38 DOF driven by in-house axial-flux joint motors (up to 1000 N·m) and coin-sized servo drives, an all-solid-state battery good for ~6 hours, GAC's pure-vision autonomous-driving algorithm plus FIGS-SLAM for centimetre positioning, and cloud multimodal AI for millisecond voice response. Pilot use began 2025 with small-scale production targeted for 2026.
