The DEEP Robotics DR01 (Dr.01) is a full-size bipedal humanoid from Hangzhou's DEEP Robotics — the quadruped specialist (Lynx, X30) that entered the humanoid race positioning DR01 as an 'embodied intelligence explorer,' a platform to accelerate AI and big-data training for embodied intelligence. It walks at over 1.6 m/s and navigates 18 cm steps, 25° slopes and uneven, discrete terrain, swiftly recovering balance under unknown disturbances like slippery surfaces and external forces — demonstrations include stair climbing, walking across steel bars, and staying upright while pushed or pulled. It's built on DEEP Robotics' self-developed J60 lightweight joints and J100 high-torque joints, and its 'Fusion Perception' integrates self-perception with environmental perception through a learning algorithm that couples sensing and control, rather than relying on scripted gaits. Through AI and big-data training, DR01 can autonomously generate new behavioural skills as environments and tasks change. NOTE: locomotion specs from DEEP Robotics official; exact height/weight/DOF/payload not prominently published for DR01 and are flagged for outreach rather than guessed.
