DEEP Robotics · Humanoid · 2024
The DR01 is DEEP Robotics' first humanoid, positioned as an 'embodied intelligence explorer' from the Hangzhou company best known for its industrial quadrupeds (Lite3, X20, X30). Standing about 1.7 m and weighing ~80 kg, the DR01 is a locomotion-focused biped with 12 degrees of freedom driven by DEEP's self-developed lightweight J60 and high-power J100 joints. It walks at over 1.6 m/s, clears 18 cm steps and 25-degree slopes, and uses a fusion-perception stack of environmental sensors to stay balanced on slippery or uneven ground and recover after slips or shoves. Through AI and big-data training it can autonomously acquire new locomotion skills. Aimed at research and industrial use, the DR01 is a development/research platform (its all-weather IP66 successor, the DR02, is a separate, newer model).
