BXI Robotics · Humanoid · 2025
An open-source, human-sized bipedal humanoid from Shanghai's BXI Robotics, aimed at sim-to-real deployment and locomotion-algorithm research. The Elf stands 1.45 m and weighs just 32 kg, making it easy to carry, with 25 degrees of freedom (6 per leg, 5 per arm, 3 in the waist). Legs use hip z/y/x, knee and dual-axis ankle joints with up to 150 N·m per joint, driven by BXI's in-house lightweight joint motors. It supports both teleoperation and autonomy modes and integrates BXI's multi-finger dexterous hands, and BXI offers it as a turnkey/OEM platform. A newer Elf 3 revision raises the count to 31 DOF.
