Beomni 1.0, from Colorado Springs-based Beyond Imagination (led by CEO Harry Kloor), is a teleoperated wheeled humanoid built to enable remote work across geographic distance — letting a human operator perform complex physical tasks from anywhere without being present. It has a human-like upper body (articulated head, shoulders, waist and arms) with dexterous hands and opposable thumbs that can lift up to 15.88 kg (35 lb) per arm yet still perform delicate actions like pinching salt or opening a bottle, all on a four-wheel base that traverses mud, sand, snow and rough terrain. It's piloted via a VR headset and gloves with low-latency stereo vision, haptic feedback and 3D audio, while its AI brain learns from those demonstrations to progress toward semi- and eventually full autonomy.
