A hyper-realistic bionic humanoid head from Chinese firm AheadForm, built to give AI a physically expressive face rather than a screen. The Origin F1 packs around 25 micromotors driving the eyes, mouth and facial muscles for lifelike expressions, blinking, nodding and speech-synced motion, under multi-layer soft skin (platinum-cure silicone or medical-grade TPE over compliant foam) that hides all mechanical edges. RGB cameras sit in the pupils, with built-in microphones and speakers, and the system pairs self-supervised algorithms with LLMs/VLMs for real-time perception, eye contact, intention parsing and emotionally expressive conversation. Aimed at HRI research, luxury reception, telepresence and companionship.
