Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, and Security - Regolith Explorer. Collected 121.6 g of samples from asteroid 101955 Bennu using its TAGSAM (Touch-and-Go Sample Acquisition Mechanism) arm and returned them to Earth in September 2023 — the largest asteroid sample ever returned. Renamed OSIRIS-APEX for an extended mission to asteroid 99942 Apophis, arriving April 2029 just after Apophis's close Earth flyby.
