Mobile Asteroid Surface Scout. Shoebox-sized lander built by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and France's CNES, deployed by Hayabusa 2 onto asteroid Ryugu on 3 October 2018. Hopped once to reposition itself using an internal swing arm and operated for 17 hours on primary battery power, exceeding its 16-hour design lifetime. Returned data on Ryugu's surface composition.
