First commercial lunar landing attempt by a private Japanese company. Launched 11 December 2022, successfully reached lunar orbit, but crashed during landing attempt on 25 April 2023 due to an altitude sensor misreading caused by passing over the rim of Atlas Crater. Carried the UAE's Rashid rover and JAXA's transformable SORA-Q technology demonstrator (which was reflown on SLIM in 2024).
