Yaskawa Motoman · Industrial · 2021
The Yaskawa MOTOMAN HC20DTP is the largest cobot in Yaskawa's HC human-collaborative family — 20 kg payload across a 1,900 mm absolute reach (1,700 mm effective) at ±0.05 mm repeatability, from a rugged 140 kg aluminium-cast arm driven by Yaskawa's 200 V industrial servo drives. Built for fenceless palletizing and end-of-line packaging, it also handles harsh work — machine-tool loading, welding — thanks to IP67 sealing with a special drip-proof coating against coolants and dust, plus food-grade grease for food and pharma use. High-resolution torque sensors in each of its six joints enable fenceless human collaboration certified to PL d Cat. 3 with 25 distinct safety functions, including configurable envelopes, dual retract moves (Retract & Clamp-Release) and a Pushback function to move the arm aside during operation. Yaskawa targets easy entry: the tablet-based Smart Pendant guides programming and safety config with hand-guiding and Smart Frame, backed by Wizard programming, a plug-and-play accessory ecosystem, MotoSim offline simulation, and a choice of YRC1000 or compact YRC1000micro controllers.
