Wonder Workshop · Educational · 2018
An award-winning coding robot from Wonder Workshop (makers of Dash & Dot), built to carry students from block-based code into state-machine and text-based programming. Aimed at ages 11+, Cue ('Coding Utility Engine') has four selectable 'hero' avatar personalities with enhanced conversational AI and witty text-message-style chat. The wheeled robot moves expressively with RGB LED lights and a speaker, sensing its surroundings with IR proximity/distance sensors, microphones and an accelerometer, and connects over Bluetooth LE to the Wonder and Cue apps. Students program it in the block-based Wonder language and in JavaScript/Blockly. No longer produced, but still supported by Wonder Workshop.
