The UFACTORY xArm 6 is the arm that made 5 kg-class manipulation affordable for labs and startups — 5 kg payload across 700 mm reach at ±0.1 mm repeatability and 1 m/s top speed, at roughly half the price of mainstream 6-axis rivals, which has made it one of the most common arms in mobile-manipulation and embodied-AI research stacks. Its aluminium and carbon-fiber structure is driven by outer-rotor brushless motors through industrial harmonic drives with 17-bit multi-turn absolute encoders, drawing a typical 200 W through the AC control box and mounting in any orientation (IP40, cleanroom-suitable). The software story is its second superpower: UFACTORY Studio's full GUI with drag-and-drop and simulation, open-source Python and C++ SDKs over Ethernet, Blockly, and official xarm_ros/ros2 packages, with a native ecosystem of grippers, vacuum tools and camera mounts.
