Tencent Robotics X · Quadruped · 2021
Tencent Robotics X Lab's multimode quadruped, first shown in 2021 and optimised in 2022. A hybrid leg-wheel design lets it walk, run, jump and climb like a dog, then glide on wheels embedded in its leg joints. Driven by Tencent's proprietary low-latency 'keen nervous system' control, it performs backward somersaults, two-leg balancing and learns new gaits within hours, with terrain recognition accurate to under 2 cm.
