Stäubli · Industrial · 2014
The Stäubli TX2-60 is a compact, exceptionally fast 6-axis industrial robot from the Swiss precision-engineering firm — 4.5 kg payload across 670 mm reach at ±0.02 mm repeatability, with blistering joint speeds (up to 1,445°/s on axis 6) delivering an 8.4 m/s tool-centre speed that makes it one of the quickest arms in its class. Its defining trait is a fully encapsulated design built on Stäubli's patented JCS hollow-shaft smart gearbox with all cabling internal — no external cables to snag or contaminate — rated IP65/IP67 and available in an unusually broad set of sensitive-environment versions: cleanroom (ISO Class 5, down to Class 2 supercleanroom), ESD, humid, food-hygienic H1, and pharma grades (Stericlean+). Though catalogued as an industrial robot, the TX2 arm with its CS9 controller offers TÜV-certified SIL3/PL e modular safety functions (Safe Speed, Safe Tool, Safe Stop, Safe Zone) with SIL3 absolute encoders, enabling safe human-robot collaboration. It needs no battery in arm or controller (lower maintenance, no position recovery), the CS9 recuperates energy on every deceleration, and it programs in Stäubli's VAL 3 with real-time Ethernet fieldbuses. A long-reach TX2-60L (920 mm, 3.7 kg) completes the range.
