ReconRobotics' Throwbot 2 is a 0.6 kg throwable two-wheeled micro-robot that operators can hurl up to 36 m into a hazardous space for instant video and audio reconnaissance. It survives repeated 9 m drops onto concrete, has an auto-activating infrared camera for total darkness, is IP67-rated, and transmits up to 45 m through walls. Over 5,500 are deployed with the FBI, ATF, military and police worldwide.
