The Productive Robotics OB7 is an American-made (Carpinteria, California) 7-axis collaborative robot whose defining features are its extra joint and its no-code philosophy. The seventh axis gives it human-like dexterity to reach around obstacles and work in confined spaces that 6-axis arms can't, at a 5 kg payload and 1,000 mm reach. Its bigger differentiator is programming: OB7 is taught by demonstration — 'show, don't program' — so operators physically guide it through tasks with no code, no scripting and minimal training, which Productive Robotics markets as the simplest cobot to deploy. An optional OB7 Vision system adds camera-based part detection. Certified for fenceless collaboration (ISO 10218-1 / ISO/TS 15066), it targets CNC machine tending, assembly, pick-and-place, packaging and finishing for small and mid-size manufacturers, and comes in a family including longer-reach Stretch and higher-payload Max8/Max12 variants. NOTE: Productive Robotics publishes payload/reach/axis count and capability detail; exact weight, repeatability, joint speeds and IP rating are logged as outreach rather than invented.
