Luminar's Iris is a long-range time-of-flight lidar using an eye-safe 1550 nm fiber laser, detecting low-reflectivity objects at ~250 m (and high-reflectivity targets far beyond). Designed for series-production passenger vehicles, it is integrated as the forward lidar on the Volvo EX90 and Polestar 3 to enable highway automated driving.
