Kodiak AI · Autonomous Vehicles · 2018
The Kodiak Driver is a Level 4 autonomous trucking system built around modular, serviceable SensorPods (lidar, radar and cameras integrated into the truck's mirror housings) and a redundant compute and actuation stack. Kodiak began driverless commercial operations in 2024, including rugged off-road oilfield hauling in the Permian Basin for Atlas Energy, alongside highway middle-mile freight.
