JAKA · Industrial · 2020
The JAKA Zu 5 is the volume workhorse of JAKA's Zu collaborative-robot family — a 5 kg-payload, 954 mm-reach 6-axis arm hitting ±0.02 mm repeatability and TCP speeds up to 3 m/s from a 23 kg body. Like all Zu cobots it is built on JAKA's unified integral joints and taught wirelessly — free-drive drag teaching plus graphical drag-and-drop programming on any phone, tablet or PC, with no teach pendant required. It runs fenceless beside operators via its collision-detection module (ISO 10218-1), mounts in any orientation on a 158 mm footprint, and is rated for cleanroom use to ISO Class 5, opening semiconductor and pharma applications. Typical consumption is 350 W through the IP44 control cabinet, which carries 16/16 digital I/O and TCP/IP, Modbus, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP. An 80,000-hour MTBF and the force-sensing Zu 5s variant round out a platform aimed squarely at machine tending, assembly and finishing work.
