Flexiv · Industrial · 2022
The Flexiv Moonlight is the world's first force-controlled parallel robot — a 3-DoF delta platform that fuses Flexiv's adaptive force sensing and control with the speed of a parallel kinematic structure. Working across a Ø1,200 mm × 400 mm envelope at 1.5 m/s TCP speed and 15 m/s² acceleration with ±0.05 mm ISO 9283 repeatability, it brings compliant, force-guided behaviour to a robot class traditionally limited to rigid position control — enabling adaptive loading/unloading and delicate high-speed handling with superior vibration rejection. The 38 kg, IP65-rated unit mounts horizontally, vertically or at any angle from a Ø206 mm base, and its hollow ISO 9409-1-50-4-M6 flange routes tooling and vision cabling internally. It shares Flexiv's ecosystem: the Hesper controller, Flexiv Elements visual programming, jogging/floating teach modes, the C++/Python RDK, and CE & ETL certification for safe human-robot interaction.
