Flexiv · Industrial · 2023

The Flexiv Grav is a force-controlled robotic gripper announced in February 2023 and shipping from Q2 2023, bringing the same industrial-grade force control as Flexiv's Rizon adaptive arms to the end effector. Its composite sensor module senses resistive forces in the sub-gram region, letting it hold a constant, precisely modulated grip on delicate or fragile objects at speed, while a gecko-foot-inspired adhesive material adds contigutive grasping for oddly shaped or uneven-surfaced items — including spheres that defeat conventional parallel grippers. Rated IP67 against dust and water immersion, meeting or exceeding ISO/TS 15066 collaborative safety standards, and rated for tens of millions of open/close cycles, it attaches plug-and-play to Flexiv's universal end-of-arm socket with no coding required, and was adapted for standard cobots after customer demand. Control runs through Flexiv Elements primitives, a dedicated Grav UI, or Modbus RTU Official specs: 50 mm stroke per jaw, 1–100 N optimal gripping force with 1 N force-control accuracy, 1–200 mm/s gripping speed, 0.1 mm finger position repeatability, 202×159×84 mm at 0.9 kg, −20 to +45 °C operating range, ISO 9409-1-50-4-M6 mechanical interface.
