Elephant Robotics · Industrial · 2022
The Elephant Robotics mechArm 270 is the industrial-styled sibling of the myCobot 280 — a 6-axis desktop arm with a centrosymmetric structure (motors balanced around the central axis, like a scaled-down industrial robot) that gives it more rigidity and stability than the myCobot's serial-link styling, at the same 250 g payload class across a 270 mm working radius and roughly 1 kg arm mass. Sold in M5Stack and Raspberry Pi 4B variants with the controller in the base, it runs Elephant's standard open stack — Python via pymycobot, Blockly, C++ and ROS with HDMI-out development on the Pi model — and shares the family's gripper, suction and camera-flange ecosystem. Its geometry makes it the preferred Elephant platform for teaching industrial-arm kinematics, and its portability suits classroom sets and SMB proof-of-concept automation.
