DRDO · Disaster Response · 2011

Electrically powered, remotely operated wheeled vehicle developed by India's DRDO to locate, handle and destroy IEDs and other hazardous objects. Its robotic arm lifts and scans suspect objects with a portable X-ray, defuses them with a water-jet disrupter, and a 12-gauge shotgun can break open locked doors. Climbs stairs up to 40°, negotiates steep slopes and narrow corridors, carries an RF jammer to block trigger signals, and a RADMAC unit for NBC contamination survey. About 90% indigenous; the Indian Army ordered 20 with larger follow-on orders.
