The Legged Squad Support System (also called AlphaDog), a militarised, ruggedised evolution of BigDog developed with DARPA and the US Marine Corps. Designed as a robotic pack mule to carry gear alongside soldiers over rough terrain, it could haul 181 kg for 32 km, follow a human leader and respond to voice commands, though the program was ultimately shelved.
