The ABB SWIFTI CRB 1100 collapses the cobot/industrial-robot divide: built on the IRB 1100 industrial platform, it delivers a TCP speed above 5 m/s — five times faster than typical 4 kg cobots — and ±0.01 mm repeatability, up to ten times tighter than the collaborative norm, while remaining fenceless. Safety is speed-and-separation rather than contact-based: SafeMove paired with a safety laser scanner slows or halts the arm before a human can reach it, with an interaction light signalling status, certified PL d Cat. 3. The 4 kg / 580 mm arm (a 475 mm / 4.32 m/s variant exists) carries four integrated air supplies for vacuum grippers and runs from the OmniCore controller, programmed via a clip-on lead-through device, Wizard graphical blocks, the SafeMove Configurator app, RAPID or RobotStudio. It targets intermittent-collaboration tasks — assembly, kitting, polishing — where industrial speed matters but a human must occasionally step in.
