The ABB GoFa 5 is the founding model of ABB's GoFa CRB 15000 collaborative family — 5 kg payload across 950 mm wrist reach (1,050 mm to flange) with best-in-class ±0.02 mm repeatability and TCP speeds to 2.2 m/s, which ABB bills as roughly 50% faster than same-class cobots. Torque and position sensors in every joint drive SafeMove power-and-force limiting certified PL d Cat. 3 with up to 16 configurable safety zones, wrapped in rounded no-pinch geometry with an interaction status light. The 28 kg, IP54 arm on a 165×165 mm base mounts in any direction and runs from ABB's OmniCore controller with RobotWare 7 — programmed by grabbing the arm anywhere (lead-through), Wizard graphical blocks on the FlexPendant, RAPID, or RobotStudio offline with ~99% sim-to-real fidelity. The Ultra Accuracy option cuts path accuracy to 0.03 mm — over 10× tighter than rival cobots — for gluing, sealing and laser applications. ISO Class 4 cleanroom rated; Pro variant adds PROFINET.
